Responsive Services

What are responsive services?

This is when a student spontaneously comes into the Counselor's Office when something is wrong. Students come in for a variety of reasons, but the most common reason is a conflict with another student. Mrs. Smith generally works on conflict resolution skills with these students. She also does work-it-out sessions which involve bringing two or more students into the counseling office to talk out the problem in a civil and effective manner.
